LED outdoor lighting international standard debuted early next year

On the 29th, the Yangcheng Evening News reporter learned from the largest LED street lamp manufacturing company in China that the International Outdoor Lighting Alliance (TALQ Alliance) held a conference last week to discuss the details of the LED Outdoor Lighting standard and plan to complete it by the end of this year. The draft specification, specific standards will be introduced early next year.

It is understood that at present, there is no uniform standard in the field of LED outdoor lighting in the international market, and the unevenness of standards has led to obstacles in the application of LED products in different regions. Shenzhen, a company that produces LED street lamps, revealed to reporters that his company had encountered street lamp products that could not be used in the field. At the same time, the lack of internationally uniform standards is also a bottleneck in the export of domestic street lamps. The TALQ International Alliance, which was jointly established by six international streetlight giants such as Qinshang Optoelectronics and Philips, aims to solve the problem of inconsistent standards among different countries. According to Li Xuliang, the only domestic LED lighting company participating in the formulation of standards, Qinshang Optoelectronics said: “Participating in the formulation of international standards will provide domestic companies with more rights to speak and help domestic companies develop international markets.”
