ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ON), which promotes energy-efficient innovation, will showcase a wide range of LED general lighting products and solutions for indoor and outdoor lighting. ON Semiconductor exhibited LED driver solutions ranging from different power levels, dimming, isolation/non-isolation requirements, to LED protection, design and simulation tools.

The indoor lighting solutions on display include dimmable and non-dimming LED drivers for LED bulbs such as GU10 and MR16, T8 LED bulbs, and constant current stabilizers (CCR) for ceiling lamps; outdoor lighting solutions Including PFC controllers for LED floodlights, street lights, building decorative lights, tunnel lights, etc., dimmable and non-dimming LED drivers, LED shunt protectors, etc.

Among them, the NCL30088 supports isolated flyback, buck-boost, single-ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) topologies for design applications up to 60 W, with typical power factor (PF) values above 0.98, eliminating the need for optocouplers. Precision current regulation from the primary side (±2% typical), linear feedforward compensation, wide VCC range for wide forward voltage applications, low start-up current of 13 uA, and operation from -40°C to 125 °C's wide operating temperature range, based on negative temperature coefficient (NTC) current thermal back-off prevents LED drivers from overheating in harsh environments and incorporates a range of robust protection features including: LED string on/off protection, cycle-by-cycle Flow, output diode short circuit protection, VCC bias voltage and undervoltage protection, current sense resistor short circuit protection and automatic recovery or latch fault handling for indoor and outdoor floodlights. The NCL30086 complements it to support analog/digital pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming (0-10 V) with a single input that controls the average LED current. The LED shunt protector HBL5006 is used for rigorous lighting applications, ensuring that the LED string remains lit when an open circuit fault occurs. The constant current regulators NSIC2020BT3G and NSI50010YT1G are based on self-biased transistor (SBT) technology that regulates current over a wide voltage range. Features include low startup voltage, high current regulation accuracy regardless of forward voltage variation, and negative temperature coefficient. Features protect LEDs, etc.
