Many interior designs use hidden light trough illumination methods. Several masters in Japan have published a book called "Indirect Lighting" for the popularization of this matter. Later, we will mention the content of the Chinese version of the book by Xu Dongliang.
The lighting method of the light trough has been used for a long time, and the light trough effect of the designer who has not seen this book before is also good. However, with more and more light troughs using LED strips, all kinds of wonderful effects have come out. Let's look at a few counterexamples:

Here we have to interpret how these wonderful effects come from, how to avoid them?
Let’s take a look at the classic installation of the light trough in the book Indirect Lighting:
Readers who have read this book will definitely notice that the word "shading line" has appeared many times!
That's right, the "shading line" is the culprit with the above-mentioned wonderful effects 1, 2, and 3!
Now the question is coming: Why didn’t you have these wonderful things before, can you see them everywhere now?
A: I used to use the T5 fluorescent lamp bracket. Now I use the LED light strip. The T5 fluorescent lamp can be just thrown away. The installation method of the LED light strip can be a lot of attention.
Why is the T5 fluorescent lamp "just throw away"?
Since the fluorescent tube has a relatively large diameter (at least thicker than the LED strip), the height of the lamp itself is also high, the power is large, and the luminous flux is high, so the shading line is generally far away, and is very blurred, and the light in the distance is compensated for each other. There will be no problems.

How is the current LED light strip generally installed? Take a look at this live photo:

So, how should we install it to avoid this "not too far" problem? Simple geometry knows that the height of the lamp strip is slightly higher, so that the shading line can be kept away from the lamp slot, and the light can be “photographed far away”.

Moreover, this type of installation makes it easier for workers to screw the screws. Are you saying that?
With this installation, the utilization of light is also higher than above, with more luminous flux output to the ceiling. However, even then, half of the light is blocked in the light trough. If the light strip itself has a certain bias light, it is more perfect. There are two kinds of polarized light, tilting and lens.
Figure: The light strip is slightly tilted when installed, which can improve the light utilization rate. This method requires the manufacturer to provide a tilt-mounted bracket base. There is currently no standard product, which is generally required to be customized.

The above talked about the situation of "not too far away", what is the "out of the box"?
Picture: This effect is obvious. It is obvious that the lamp belt is installed incorrectly. The worker master is also “just lost” like the previous installation of the lamp holder...
So... what about the sawtooth effect?
The generation of sawtooth is generally caused by the use of a hard light strip, which is placed in the light groove. Just pay attention to the location of the installation and keep the shading line away from the light trough. Even if it is a bit misplaced, it will not produce obvious jaggedness. Of course, the current luminous flux of soft strips is getting bigger and bigger, and the use of hard light strips is also less.
What we said before is the case where the lamp socket is used to wash the ceiling. There is also a case where the lamp socket washes the wall surface, and what should be considered? Let's look at a counterexample:

Then the question is coming: What should I do if I encounter a mirrored wall?
At this point, you can only sacrifice the efficiency of light utilization, using diffuse or diffuse transmission~

The installation methods of various lamp strips are almost the same. Finally, if you encounter a more special situation, you need to use your ingenuity to think about a few things:
1 Where is the shading line? Will it be obvious?
2 Will the lamp be seen when walking normally?
3 Is there a mirror material that will reflect the light beads?
If you cut in from the perspective of luminaire design, what is it like? To put it simply, the stories about the design of troffers.
When the halogen bulb version, the compact energy-saving lamp version, and the T5 fluorescent tube version (with red, green and blue color-changing plate) were designed, the data collected 10CM high. Of course, the US service invention patents also applied for several.
Simply talk about the key to the design at the time.
1. For different markets, the conventional size of the local decoration light trough should be clearly defined, and the most common ones should be taken out as design standards. Otherwise, the problem that the shading line is too close is so weak.
After the design of the luminaire, the specification book should tell people: I should not design the lamp socket of the decoration company.
2, dark areas, lamps should be designed with a special rotating joint, the lamps can be staggered to avoid dark areas along the length. (Well, there is a T5 bracket later, the glass part of the light pipe is made to grow π type, avoid dark areas, all methods are available)
3, some versions, need a special reflector, the lamp illumination is evenly washed to the ceiling, the irradiation area is larger.
4. The diffuser of the reflector or the diffuser on the light source helps to see the effect of the light on the floor caused by the specular reflection of the ceiling in some applications.
5. Some reflectors have adjustable angles, and the lamps must have adjustable brackets to cope with the effects of uncommon lamp slots.
Now the LED soft and hard light strips, problems in the use process, the article has already mentioned.俺 Add:
1, to tell people to decorate the lamp slot specifications! For the saga fact, the easiest way to do this is to design the lighting strips in the autocad drawings when designing the lighting, and to design a strip of wood at the bottom of the strip for easy monitoring (for the raft is a wooden strip, big brother It's cheap, the decoration company is a lot of hair, and sometimes the wood strip can be tilted at an angle. This wooden strip design allows the decorating company to install and they are more professional in terms of location size.
Then the electrician can stick the light bar on the wooden strip. Otherwise, you expect the electrician to give you the light bar according to the specified position. It is better to expect the hen to have a duck egg. Well, what this 俺 didn’t want to say was that the furniture factory had squandered the money to help them design.
Classroom interjection: on-site construction... Can you make a special wooden strip according to the drawings? Unless you personally stare at him at the scene, it's almost a more reliable way – the manufacturer directly produces a mounting clip with a dip.
2, now some professional light strips, there are already aluminum extruded brackets or simple mounting brackets, in fact, is a variant of the class T5 bracket. This is the development direction of the market segment, you can avoid the tragic T5 bracket, soft and hard light bar price war. However, at present, such product segmentation solutions are insufficient, and there is still a lack of professionalism and a lot of room for development. LED commercial version can be introduced with reference to the design principle of traditional troffer light. I won't elaborate on it. The writing has become a design specification in detail.
3. This is a lot more fun. If you have the skills, for some laces, such as wood lace, plaster lace, let them leave a recommended small slot for you, you can make a custom light bar.
